Abstract

Abstract The use of photo-initiators of the formula I <IMAGE> in which Ar is a C6-C14-aryl radical which is unsubstituted or mono-, di- or tri-substituted by C1-C4-alkyl, C1-C4-alkoxy, phenoxy, C1-C4-alkylthio, phenylthio or halogen, and R is C1-C12-alkyl, C5-C6-cycloalkyl, C6-C10-aryl or alkaryl, C7-C11-aralkyl or C3-C6-alkoxyalkyl, in combination with light stabilizers from the category of the polyalkylpiperidine derivatives in the photopolymerization of ethylenically unsaturated compounds results in polymers with high stability to light and a low degree of yellowing.
