Claim 3
Dependent Claim
35 words
A fluid control valve as defined in claim 1 including a plurality of annular shear-seal rings each positioned between one of said passageways and one of said inlet or said outlet ports in said housing.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
170 words
A fluid control valve comprising: an annular outer housing having an inlet port, a vent port and a plurality of outlet ports; an annular rotor rotatably mounted in said housing, said rotor being movable to a plurality of stop positions, said rotor having a plurality of radial and axial passageways at each of said stop positions; means for connecting a first of said axial passageways to said inlet port at each of said stop positions; means for selectively connecting a second of said axial passageways to at least one of said outlet ports at each of said stop positions; means for connecting one of said radial passageways between said first and said second axial passageways at each of said stop positions; means for connecting a third of said axial passageways to said vent port at each of said stop positions; and means for selectively blocking any of said output ports at any of said stop positions without affecting the blocking of output ports at any of the other stop positions.
Claim 5
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
43 words
A fluid control valve as defined in claim 3 wherein the blocking and venting of individual outlet ports at any one of said stop positions does not affect the blocking and venting of individual outlet ports at any of the other stop positions.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
48 words
A fluid control valve as defined in claim 3 including an annular shear-seal ring positioned between said housing and said rotor to provide a blocking of one of said inlet or said outlet ports in the absence of a passageway in said rotor at a predetermined stop position.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim
66 words
A fluid control valve as defined in claim 3 wherein said rotor passageways are interconnected to form a U-shaped passageway having a first end thereof at a bottom face of said rotor, said U-shaped passageway extending axially upward into said rotor, extending radially inside said rotor and then extending axially downward with a second end of said U-shaped passageway at said bottom face of said rotor.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim
42 words
A fluid control valve as defined in claim 3 wherein said rotor passageways are interconnected to form L-shaped passageways extending axially upward from a bottom face of said rotor into said rotor and extending radially outward through the side of said rotor.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim
186 words
A fluid control valve comprising: an annular outer housing having an inlet port, a vent port and a plurality of outlet ports; an annular rotor rotatably mounted in said housing, said rotor being movable to a plurality of stop positions, said rotor having a plurality of radial and axial passageways at each of said stop positions; means for connecting a first of said axial passageways to said inlet port at each of said stop positions; means for selectively connecting a second of said axial passageways to at least one of said outlet ports at each of said stop positions, means for connecting one of said radial passageways between said first and said second axial passageways at each of said stop positions; means for connecting a third of said axial passageways to said vent port at each of said stop positions, said third axial passageway at each stop position being a different radial distance from the center of said annular rotor than any of the other axial passageways in said rotor; and means for selectively blocking any of said output ports at any of said stop positions.
