Abstract
Abstract A photographic material having a light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer coated on a support. The material contains a compound represented by the following general formula [Ia] or [Ib] ##STR1## wherein R 1 and R 3 individually represent an alkyl, alkenyl or acyl group; R 4 represents a halogen atom, an alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl or cyano group, or --SO 2 R 5 or --COR 5 group; and R 5 represents a hydrogen atom, a hydroxy, alkyl, alkoxy, cycloalkoxy, aryloxy or amino group.
