Abstract
Abstract A method for bonding the edges of pieces of stained glass, comprising the steps of applying adhesive to the edges, coating the adhesive with solderable metallic particles while the adhesive is still tacky, and, after the adhesive is cured, soldering the edges together, thereby joining the pieces of glass into a self-supporting structure. The method may also be utilized to solder a stained glass window directly into a frame. The adhesive is preferably a high-temperature resistant adhesive, and the solderable metallic particles are preferably a combination of copper granules and powder.
