Abstract
Abstract Apparatus and method for molding generally cubical building modules of concrete, the apparatus comprising both internal and external movable mounted molding components and preferably including mechanisms for advancing the components into molding positions and for withdrawing the components from the molding position upon completion of the molding of a module. The method involves the use of such molding components and contemplates certain sequences in the advancement and withdrawal of the molding components for different portions of the modules.

A method in accordance with claim 2, and further characterized in that said horizontal members are withdrawn successively in opposed pairs.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
140 words
In the molding of exterior surfaces of generally cubical building modules of concrete or the like having side walls joined along generally vertical edges, the method which comprises: providing a plurality of generally horizontal mold strips disposed one above another in substantially vertical alignment, and each mounted for individual reciprocation toward and away from molding means adapted to define the interior surfaces of a module; moving said wall strips into a position spaced from such molding means by a distance equal to the thickness of the desired walls, the movement of such mold strips being successive and in a sequence beginning with the lowermost strip of any wall and progressing toward the uppermost mold strip thereof; and fabricating the wall strip-upon-strip by casting concrete in the space behind each individual mold strip, as it is and brought into such position.
