Abstract

Abstract An elastic calender roll for use in a super calender for magnetic tape is disclosed, which comprises a roll core and a roll portion which is composed of a fibrous material molded with a plastic material. The fibrous material has a better heat resistivity than that of the plastic material and the surface portion of the calender roll is of the plastic material and has a Shore hardness of at least 80 degrees.
