Claim 1
Independent Claim 51 words
A dry carbonated beverage concentrate for preparing a carbonated beverage by admixture with water comprising: a. amorphous calcium carbonate, substantially devoid of calcium hydroxide, and b. an anhydrous, nontoxic acid in an amount in excess of the amount theoretically required to completely evolve the carbon dioxide from the amorphous calcium carbonate.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 51 words
A dry carbonated beverage concentrate for preparing a carbonated beverage by admixture with water comprising: a. amorphous calcium carbonate, substantially devoid of calcium hydroxide, and b. an anhydrous, nontoxic acid in an amount in excess of the amount theoretically required to completely evolve the carbon dioxide from the amorphous calcium carbonate.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 14 words
A dry carbonated beverage concentrate according to claim 1 which further includes a flavorant.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 14 words
A dry carbonated beverage concentrate according to claim 1 which further comprises a sweetener.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 19 words
A dry carbonated beverage concentrate according to claim 1 wherein said amorphous calcium carbonate is stabilized amorphous calcium carbonate.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 59 words
A process for preparing a dry carbonated beverage concentrate comprising: a. amorphous calcium carbonate, substantially devoid of calcium hydroxide, and b. an anhydrous, non-toxic acid in an amount in excess of the amount theoretically required to completely evolve the carbon dioxide from the amorphous calcium carbonate which process comprises admixing said amorphous calcium carbonate with said anhydrous non-toxic acid.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 59 words
A process for preparing a dry carbonated beverage concentrate comprising: a. amorphous calcium carbonate, substantially devoid of calcium hydroxide, and b. an anhydrous, non-toxic acid in an amount in excess of the amount theoretically required to completely evolve the carbon dioxide from the amorphous calcium carbonate which process comprises admixing said amorphous calcium carbonate with said anhydrous non-toxic acid.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 16 words
A process according to claim 5 wherein said amorphous calcium carbonate is stabilized amorphous calcium carbonate.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 53 words
A process for preparing a carbonated beverage which comprises admixing water and a dry beverage concentrate comprising: a. amorphous calcium carbonate, substantially devoid of calcium hydroxide, and b. an anhydrous, non-toxic acid in an amount in excess of the amount theoretically required to completely evolve the carbon dioxide from the amorphous calcium carbonate.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 53 words
A process for preparing a carbonated beverage which comprises admixing water and a dry beverage concentrate comprising: a. amorphous calcium carbonate, substantially devoid of calcium hydroxide, and b. an anhydrous, non-toxic acid in an amount in excess of the amount theoretically required to completely evolve the carbon dioxide from the amorphous calcium carbonate.
