Abstract
Abstract The present invention relates to novel antiperspirant-deodorant compositions and to a method of suppressing odors due to the bacterial decomposition of perspiration by administering bis-(2-pyridyl-1-oxide) disulfide and/or at least one adduct of bis-(2-pyridyl-1-oxide) disulfide having the empirical formula: (C5H4NOS)2MYt (I) wherein M represents a member selected from the group consisting of zinc, iron, magnesium, tin, cadmium, zirconium, alkali and alkaline earth metals; Y is the anion of an inorganic or organic acid and t is either 1 or 2.
