Abstract

Abstract Cis-diammineplatinum(II) organophosphate complexes where the organophosphate moiety is a glycerophosphate or a monosaccharide phosphate moiety are prepared by reaction of cis-diaquodiammineplatinum(II) salts with alkali metal organophosphates. The resulting complexes possess pronounced anti-tumor activity in mice and low toxicity; consequently, they have high therapeutic indices.
