Razor storage

Claim 2

A razor storage arrangement comprising a container having a dispensing opening at its upper end, a protective cover for removable securance to said container in protective position over said dispensing opening, and a razor having an elongated handle and a head at one end of said handle, said head having portions that extend laterally on either side of said handle for support of a transversely extending shaving edge, a recess in said cover for receiving the head of said razor with said handle extending downwardly below said cover along the side of said container, and structure integral with said cover and complementary with said razor for retaining said razor in releasably supported relation on said container.

Claim 3

The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 wherein said cover includes handle retention structure below said recess.

Claim 4

The arrangement as claimed in claim 2 wherein said handle retention structure includes two spaced members that project outwardly from said cover, said razor handle being received therebetween in releasably secured relation.

Claim 5

The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 wherein said complementary razor retaining structure includes two portions that are spaced apart and receive said razor handle therebetween.

Claim 6

The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 wherein said container further includes a dispensing actuator adjacent said dispensing opening and said recess is a well that is above said dispensing actuator when said cover is on said container, said well being dimensionsed to receive the entire head of said razor, and said complementary razor retaining structure includes an upstanding member that extends above said well.

Claim 7

The arrangement as claimed in claim 5 and further including a support surface in said well on which a lateral portion of said razor head rests.

Claim 8

A razor storage arrangement comprising a container having a dispensing opening at its upper end, a protective cover for removable securance to said container in protective position over said dispensing opening, said cover being a molded plastic member that includes an upper surface, a skirt portion with container coupling structure at the base of said skirt portion, and a razor having an elongated handle and a head at one end of said handle, said head having portions that extend laterally on either side of said handle and carrying a transversely extending shaving edge, a well in said cover for receiving the head of said razor with said handle extending downwardly below said cover along the side of said container, said well having end wall portions that prevent accidental dislodgement of a blade unit secured to said razor head and being dimensioned so that said razor head is disposed within said well and entirely below the upper surface of said cover when said razor is stored on said container, and resilient handle retention structure below said well and integral with said cover and complementary with said razor such that said razor is retained in releasably supported relation on said container with said transversely extending shaving edge protectively housed in said well.

Claim 9

A razor storage arrangement comprising a container having a dispensing opening at its upper end, a protective cover for removable securance to said container in protective position over said dispensing opening, said cover being a molded plastic member that includes an upper surface, a skirt portion with container coupling structure at the base of said skirt portion, and a razor having an elongated handle and a head at one end of said handle, said head having portions that extend laterally on either side of said handle and carrying a transversely extending shaving edge, a well in said cover for receiving the head of said razor with said handle extending downwardly below said cover along the side of said container, said well having end wall portions that prevent accidental dislodgement of a blade unit secured to said razor head and being dimensioned so that said razor head is disposed within said well and entirely below the upper surface of said cover when said razor is stored on said container, and resilient handle retention structure below said well and integral with said cover and complementary with said razor such that said razor is retained in releasably supported relation on said container with said transversely extending shaving edge protectively housed in said well.

Claim 10

The arrangement as claimed in claim 7 wherein said cover has an annular collar flange at the base of said skirt, said container coupling structure includes a plurality of latch elements on the inner surface of said collar flange that resiliently engage container chine structure, said handle retention structure includes two spaced members that project outwardly from said collar flange, said razor handle being received therebetween in releasably secured relation.

Claim 11

The arrangement as claimed in claim 8 wherein a support surface is provided in said well on which a lateral portion of said razor head rests and said complementary razor retaining structure includes two upstanding spaced apart portions at the outer edge of said well and extending above said support surface, said upstanding portions defining a gap in which the upper end of said razor handle is disposed, and said skirt portion having a surface portion extending below said gap against which the razor handle rests in storage.

Claim 12

A container cover for storing a razor that has an elongated handle and a head at one end of the handle, said head having portions that extend laterally on either side of the handle for support of a transversely extending shaving edge, comprising a molded plastic member that includes an upper surface, a skirt portion with container coupling structure at the base of said skirt portion, a recess in the cover for receiving the head of the razor with the razor handle extending downwardly below the cover, and structure integral with the cover and complementary with the razor for releasably retaining the razor in supported relation on the container when the cover is on the container.

Claim 13

A container cover for storing a razor that has an elongated handle and a head at one end of the handle, said head having portions that extend laterally on either side of the handle for support of a transversely extending shaving edge, comprising a molded plastic member that includes an upper surface, a skirt portion with container coupling structure at the base of said skirt portion, a recess in the cover for receiving the head of the razor with the razor handle extending downwardly below the cover, and structure integral with the cover and complementary with the razor for releasably retaining the razor in supported relation on the container when the cover is on the container.

Claim 14

The cover as claimed in claim 10 and further including handle retention structure below said recess.

Claim 15

The cover as claimed in claim 11 wherein said handle retention structure includes two spaced, resilient members that project outwardly from said cover, said razor handle being received therebetween in releasably secured relation.

Claim 16

The cover as claimed in claim 10 wherein said recess is a well dimensioned to receive the entire head of said razor, and said complementary razor retaining structure includes an upstanding member that extends above said well.

Claim 17

The cover as claimed in claim 13 and further including a support surface in said well for receiving a lateral portion of said razor head and an end wall portion at either end of said well.

Claim 18

A container cover for storing a razor that has an elongated handle and a head at one end of the handle, said head having portions that extend laterally on either side of the handle for support of a transversely extending shaving edge, comprising a molded plastic member that includes an upper surface, a skirt portion with container coupling structure and flange structure at the base of said skirt portion, said container coupling structure including a plurality of latch elements on the inner surface of said flange structure for resiliently engaging container chine structure, said flange structure having a gap through which said container chine structure is exposed, a well in the cover for receiving the entire head of the razor with the razor handle extending downwardly below the cover, a support surface in said well for receiving a lateral portion of said razor head, two upstanding spaced apart portions at the outer edge of said well that extend above said support surface, said upstanding portions defining a gap in which the upper end of said razor handle is disposed when the razor is stored on said cover and handle retention structure integral with the cover and including two spaced members that project outwardly from either side of said gap in said flange structure for receiving a razor handle therebetween in releasably secured relation so that a razor may be releasably retained in supported relation on the container when the cover is on the container.

Claim 19

A container cover for storing a razor that has an elongated handle and a head at one end of the handle, said head having portions that extend laterally on either side of the handle for support of a transversely extending shaving edge, comprising a molded plastic member that includes an upper surface, a skirt portion with container coupling structure and flange structure at the base of said skirt portion, said container coupling structure including a plurality of latch elements on the inner surface of said flange structure for resiliently engaging container chine structure, said flange structure having a gap through which said container chine structure is exposed, a well in the cover for receiving the entire head of the razor with the razor handle extending downwardly below the cover, a support surface in said well for receiving a lateral portion of said razor head, two upstanding spaced apart portions at the outer edge of said well that extend above said support surface, said upstanding portions defining a gap in which the upper end of said razor handle is disposed when the razor is stored on said cover and handle retention structure integral with the cover and including two spaced members that project outwardly from either side of said gap in said flange structure for receiving a razor handle therebetween in releasably secured relation so that a razor may be releasably retained in supported relation on the container when the cover is on the container.

Claim 20

The cover as claimed in claim 10 and further including flange structure at the base of said skirt, said container coupling structure includes a plurality of latch elements on the inner surface of said flange structure that resiliently engage container chine structure, said flange structure having a gap through which said container chine structure is exposed, said handle retention structure includes two spaced members that project outwardly from either side of said gap in said flange structure for receiving a razor handle therebetween in releasably secured relation.
