Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 7
Claim 1
Independent Claim 59 words
In a multi-pass laser system wherein optical radiation through the laser medium passes through a plurality of closely adjacent optical paths for providing a single oscillating mode, the improvement of: means for selecting a single polarization of laser radiation, and means for altering the polarization of the radiation so that any two immediately adjacent optical passes have orthogonal polarizations.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 59 words
In a multi-pass laser system wherein optical radiation through the laser medium passes through a plurality of closely adjacent optical paths for providing a single oscillating mode, the improvement of: means for selecting a single polarization of laser radiation, and means for altering the polarization of the radiation so that any two immediately adjacent optical passes have orthogonal polarizations.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 34 words
In a multiple pass laser system as set forth in claim 1 the improvement wherein said means for altering the polarization is a three-mirror array for coupling optical energy between immediately adjacent optical paths.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 26 words
In a multiple pass laser system as set forth in claim 2 the improvement wherein said means for selecting a single polarization is a diffraction grating.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 48 words
In a multiple pass laser system as set forth in claim 1 the improvement wherein said means for altering the polarization is a plurality of three-mirror arrays, each of said arrays being adapted for coupling optical energy between immediately adjacent optical paths for providing a single oscillating mode.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 38 words
In a multiple pass laser system as set forth in claim 1 the improvement wherein said means for altering the polarizaton is a two-mirror array, the two mirrors being tilted at 45° with respect to the optical axis.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 30 words
In a multiple pass laser system as set forth in claim 5 the improvement wherein said means for selecting a single polarization is a quarter-wave plate and a diffraction grating.
