In a self-adhering transfer material comprising in descending order an upper foil-like or paper-like carrier layer, one or more transferable designed layers, releasably connected to the carrier layer and a lower adhesive layer, wherein the improvement comprises an intermediate layer between the adhesive layer and the one or more design layers, the intermediate layer consisting essentially of a polyester resin hardenable into a permanently elastic formstable layer, said polyester resin being adhesively bondable and compatible with both the adhesive layer and the one or more design layers.
