Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 11
Claim 1
Independent Claim 67 words
A method for improving the storage stability of a polymerizable mixture comprising a high molecular weight diol component, a low molecular weight chain stiffener component and an asphalt component which comprises at least substantially increasing said stability by admixing into said mixture an effective amount of at least one rosin acid ester selected from the group consisting of C 2 -C 5 alkane polyol rosin acid esters.
Claim 2
Independent Claim 67 words
A method for improving the storage stability of a polymerizable mixture comprising a high molecular weight diol component, a low molecular weight chain stiffener component and an asphalt component which comprises at least substantially increasing said stability by admixing into said mixture an effective amount of at least one rosin acid ester selected from the group consisting of C 2 -C 5 alkane polyol rosin acid esters.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 15 words
A method as in claim 1 wherein said ester is a modified rosin acid ester.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 31 words
A method as in claim 1 wherein said amount of rosin acid ester, based by weight upon said asphalt component, is in the range of from about 5 to 30 percent.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 14 words
A method as in claim 1 wherein said rosin acid ester is pentaerythritol ester.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 68 words
In a polymerizable mixture comprising a high molecular weight diol component, a low molecular weight chain stiffener component and an asphalt component, wherein said asphalt is present in the form of an unstabilized dispersion, solute or sol, the improvement comprising said mixture containing an effective amount of at least one stabilizing agent selected from the group consisting of C 2 -C 5 alkane polyol esters of rosin acids.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 68 words
In a polymerizable mixture comprising a high molecular weight diol component, a low molecular weight chain stiffener component and an asphalt component, wherein said asphalt is present in the form of an unstabilized dispersion, solute or sol, the improvement comprising said mixture containing an effective amount of at least one stabilizing agent selected from the group consisting of C 2 -C 5 alkane polyol esters of rosin acids.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 15 words
A mixture as in claim 5 wherein said ester is a modified rosin acid ester.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 14 words
A mixture as in claim 5 wherein said ester is pentaerythritol rosin and ester.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 31 words
A mixture as in claim 5 wherein said ester, based by weight upon said asphalt component, is present in an amount in the range of from about 5 to 30 percent.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 52 words
In a process for producing an asphalt-extended polyurethane surface by admixing an effective amount of a polyisocyanate component with a polymerizable mixture comprising a high molecular weight diol component, a low molecular weight chain stiffener component and an asphalt component, the improvement comprising using as said mixture the composition of claim 5.
