A process for the production of the carbon black concentrate of claim 1 consisting essentially of mixing the nitrocellulose (wet with isopropanol), plasticizer, dispersing agent and a solvent to form a plastic composition, kneading carbon black into this composition, rolling out the product obtained into sheets to further disperse the carbon black and volatilize the solvent and thereafter breaking the product into chips.
