Color photographic materials containing dye fading inhibitors

Claim 2

A color photosensitive material comprising a support and a silver halide photosensitive layer which material comprises a compound represented by the following formula (I) ##STR15## wherein R 1 is an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxy group, an alkenoxy group or an aryloxy group; R 2 and R 3 are individually hydrogen, halogen, or an alkyl group, an alkenyl group or an alkoxy group; R is an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group or a member selected from the group consisting of imidazolyl, furyl, pyridyl, and thiazolyl, or R 6 CO--, R 7 SO 2 -- or R 8 NHCO--; and R' is hydrogen, or R 6 CO--, R 7 SO 2 -- or R 8 NHCO-- wherein R 6 , R 7 and R 8 are individually an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group or a member selected from the group consisting of imidazolyl, furyl, pyridyl, and thiazolyl, in combination with a compound represented by the following formula (II). ##STR16## wherein A 1 , A 2 , A 3 and A 4 are individually an alkyl group having 1-18 carbon atoms, the total number of carbon atoms of A 1 , A 2 , A 3 and A 4 being not more than 32; and X is a simple bond, oxygen, sulfur, sulfonyl or ##STR17## in which A 5 is hydrogen or an alkyl group having 1-10 carbon atoms and n is an integer of 1 to 3.

Claim 3

A color photosensitive material comprising a support, a cyan coupler-containing red-sensitive silver halide photosensitive emulsion layer, a magenta coupler-containing green-sensitive silver halide photosensitive emulsion layer, and a yellow coupler-containing blue-sensitive silver halide photosensitive emulsion layer, said material comprising a compound represented by the following formula (I) ##STR18## wherein R 1 is an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxy group, an alkenoxy group or an aryloxy group; R 2 and R 3 are individually hydrogen, halogen, or an alkyl group, an alkenyl group or an alkoxy group, R is an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group or a member selected from the group consisting of imidazolyl, furyl, pyridyl, thiazolyl, or R 6 CO--, R 7 SO 2 -- or R 8 NHCO--; and R' is hydrogen, or R 6 CO--, R 7 SO 2 -- or R 8 NHCO-- wherein R 6 , R 7 and R 8 are individually an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group, or a member selected from the group consisting of imidazolyl, furyl, pyridyl, and thiazolyl, in combination with a compound represented by the following formula (II) ##STR19## wherein A 1 , A 2 , A 3 and A 4 are individually an alkyl group having 1-18 carbon atoms, the total number of carbon atoms of A 1 , A 2 , A 3 and A 4 being not more than 32; and X is a simple bond, oxygen, sulfur, sulfonyl or ##STR20## in which A 5 is hydrogen or an alkyl group having 1-10 carbon atoms and n is an integer of 1 to 3.

Claim 4

A color photosensitive material comprising a support, a cyan coupler-containing red-sensitive silver halide photosensitive emulsion layer, a magenta coupler-containing green-sensitive silver halide photosensitive emulsion layer, and a yellow coupler-containing blue-sensitive silver halide photosensitive emulsion layer, said material comprising a compound represented by the following formula (I) ##STR18## wherein R 1 is an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxy group, an alkenoxy group or an aryloxy group; R 2 and R 3 are individually hydrogen, halogen, or an alkyl group, an alkenyl group or an alkoxy group, R is an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group or a member selected from the group consisting of imidazolyl, furyl, pyridyl, thiazolyl, or R 6 CO--, R 7 SO 2 -- or R 8 NHCO--; and R' is hydrogen, or R 6 CO--, R 7 SO 2 -- or R 8 NHCO-- wherein R 6 , R 7 and R 8 are individually an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group, or a member selected from the group consisting of imidazolyl, furyl, pyridyl, and thiazolyl, in combination with a compound represented by the following formula (II) ##STR19## wherein A 1 , A 2 , A 3 and A 4 are individually an alkyl group having 1-18 carbon atoms, the total number of carbon atoms of A 1 , A 2 , A 3 and A 4 being not more than 32; and X is a simple bond, oxygen, sulfur, sulfonyl or ##STR20## in which A 5 is hydrogen or an alkyl group having 1-10 carbon atoms and n is an integer of 1 to 3.

Claim 5

A color photosensitive material according to claim 1 wherein the photosensitive layer comprises the compound of formula [I] in combination with the compound of formula [II].

A color photosensitive material according to claim 1 wherein R 1 is an alkyl group, an alkenyl group or an aryl group.

Claim 7

A color photosensitive material according to claim 1 wherein R 2 and R 3 are individually hydrogen or an alkyl group.

Claim 8

A color photosensitive material according to claim 1 wherein R is an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a cycloalkyl group, or R 6 CO--, R 7 SO 2 -- or R 8 NHCO--.

Claim 9

A color photosensitive material according to claim 4 wherein R 1 is an alkyl group or an aryl group.

Claim 10

A color photosensitive material according to claim 5 wherein R 2 and R 3 are individually hydrogen.

Claim 11

A color photosensitive material according to claim 6 wherein R 6 , R 7 and R 8 are individually an alkyl group or an aryl group.

Claim 12

A color photosensitive material according to claim 1 wherein the compound of formula [II] is represented by the following formula: ##STR21##

A color photosensitive material according to claim 10 wherein A 1 and A 2 are individually tertiary alkyl.

Claim 14

A color photosensitive material according to claim 2 wherein at least one of the three emulsion layers comprises the compound represented by the formula [I] in combination with the compound represented by the formula [II].

Claim 15

A color photosensitive material according to claim 12 wherein the magenta coupler-containing silver halide photosensitive emulsion layer comprises the compound represented by the formula [I] in combination with the compound represented by the formula [II].

Claim 16

A color photosensitive material according to claim 13 wherein R 1 is an alkyl group, an alkenyl group or an aryl group.

Claim 17

A color photosensitive material according to claim 13 wherein R 2 and R 3 are individually hydrogen or an alkyl group.

Claim 18

A color photosensitive mateirial according to claim 13 wherein R is an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a cycloalkyl group, or R 6 CO--, R 7 SO 2 -- or R 8 NHCO--.

Claim 19

A color photosensitive material according to claim 14 wherein R 1 is an alkyl group or an aryl group.

Claim 20

A color photosensitive material according to claim 15 wherein R 2 and R 3 are individually hydrogen.

Claim 21

A color photosensitive material according to claim 16 wherein R 6 , R 7 and R 8 are individually an alkyl group or an aryl group.

Claim 22

A color photosensitive material according to claim 13 wherein the compound of formula [II] is represented by the following formula [IIa] or [IIb]. ##STR22##

A color photosensitive material according to claim 20 wherein A 1 and A 2 are individually tertiary alkyl.
