Abstract
Abstract The invention provides novel 2-methoxy-benzamide derivatives of the formula: ##STR1## WHEREIN, M IS AN INTEGER FROM 2 TO 5; A is a linear or branched alkylene chain of 1 to 4 carbon atoms; R 2 is chlorine, SO 2 R 5 or SO 2 NR 6 R 7 ; R 3 is hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms; R 5 is alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms; EACH OF R 6 and R 7 is independently hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms in the form of racemates or optical isomers and their pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts which are useful in the treatment of psychosomatic and psychotic disturbances.
