Abstract
Abstract The present invention provides compounds of the formula: ##STR1## in which A is CH 2 , CHOH, CH 2 O, CH 2 S, CH 2 NH, OCH 2 , SCH 2 , NH, NHCH 2 , NHCOCH 2 or CH 2 NHCH 2 , X 1 is H, halogen, C 1 -C 4 -alkyl or C 1 -C 4 -alkoxy, X 2 is halogen, C 1 -C 4 -alkyl or C 1 -C 4 -alkoxy, Z is 2-pyrimidinyl or C(═NR 1 )NHR 2 (where R 1 is H and R 2 is H, OH or CH 2 CO 2 Et, or R 1 and R 2 together form CH 2 CH 2 , CH 2 CH 2 CH 2 or N═N), and their addition salts. The compounds of formula I and their salts are useful in therapy as hypotensive agents.
