Abstract

Abstract Extensible, transparent, and self-adhering films, particularly suitable for packaging food, are disclosed. The films, which are also useful for sealing open containers, have a thickness of from 10 to 40 microns and consist of a mixture comprising low-density polyethylene, amorphous ethylene/propylene copolymers, at least one monoglyceride of a fatty acid containing from 12 to 25 carbon atoms in the chain, and vaseline oil.
