Abstract Motor fuel composition comprising a mixture of hydrocarbons in a gasoline boiling range containing a polyether-maleic anhydride reaction product represented by the formula: ##STR1## in which R is an aliphatic hydrocarbon radical having from about 6 to 20 carbon atoms and x has a value from 1 to 3.
