Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim 94 words
The method of renewing the surface of grout comprising applying a composition consisting essentially of an aqueous suspension of 0.1 to 10% by weight of a surfactant, 10 to 60% by weight on a dry basis of a water-soluble or water-dispersible organic binder which dries to a water resistant film and a pigment, the weight ratio of binding agent to pigment being 1:5 to 5:1 to the grout, allowing the composition to dry to form a water resistant film of the organic binding agent on the grout and removing excess composition from the tile.
Claim 2
Independent Claim 94 words
The method of renewing the surface of grout comprising applying a composition consisting essentially of an aqueous suspension of 0.1 to 10% by weight of a surfactant, 10 to 60% by weight on a dry basis of a water-soluble or water-dispersible organic binder which dries to a water resistant film and a pigment, the weight ratio of binding agent to pigment being 1:5 to 5:1 to the grout, allowing the composition to dry to form a water resistant film of the organic binding agent on the grout and removing excess composition from the tile.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 12 words
The method of claim 1 wherein the composition also contains a bactericide.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 22 words
The method of claim 1 wherein the composition also contains 0.5 to 10% by weight of a suspending agent for the pigment.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 28 words
The method of claim 1 wherein the pigment is selected from the group consisting of titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, talc, silica, calcium carbonate, carbon black and ultramarine blue.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 21 words
The method of claim 1 wherein the surfactant is selected from the group consisting of anionic, cationic, nonionic and amphoteric surfactants.
