Abstract

Abstract Compositions of matter comprising a finely divided dispersion of a solid having a particle size of less than 20 microns in an organic liquid selected from the class consisting of hydrocarbons and halogenated hydrocarbons containing dissolved therein an adduct of one or more compounds from each of the following classes (A) AN ORGANIC COMPOUND CONTAINING TWO OR MORE ISOCYANATE GROUPS, (B) AN ORGANIC COMPOUND CONTAINING TWO OR MORE GROUPS WHICH ARE REACTIVE WITH ISOCYANATE GROUPS, AND (C) AN ADDITION POLYMER CONTAINING A HYDROXY GROUP, THE AMOUNT OF THE ADDUCT CORRESPONDING TO BETWEEN 5% AND 100% BY WEIGHT BASED ON THE WEIGHT OF THE SOLID, AND THE AMOUNT OF THE SOLID CORRESPONDING TO BETWEEN 5% AND 70% BY WEIGHT BASED ON THE TOTAL WEIGHT OF THE DISPERSION FOR USE IN THE PREPARATION OF INKS AND PAINTS.
