Claim 1
Independent Claim
180 words
An electrical machinery assembly including a rotor comprising a rotor shaft and bearing means preassembled on said rotor shaft, a stator having an inner bore of given diameter, a deep drawn sheet metal housing, said bearing means on said rotor shaft having an outer diameter smaller than said given stator bore diameter, said bearing means supporting said rotor in said housing which comprises two separate deep drawn housing members of sheet metal, each of said housing members having a respective bearing seating surface produced by said deep drawing, at least one of the housing members having a stator supporting shoulder also produced by said deep drawing, whereby the stator rests against said shoulder, and wherein said housing member with the shoulder comprises at its open end a deep drawn outwardly flaring conical rim, said other housing member without the shoulder having a matching conical rim fitting into said outwardly flaring conical rim, whereby, due to said conical rims, the two housing members and with the housing members the entire assembly is automatically centered by the housing members axially pressed together.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
174 words
An electrical machinery assembly including a rotor with a shaft and bearing means preassembled on said rotor shaft, a stator having an inner bore of given diameter, a deep drawn sheet metal housing, said bearing means having an outer diameter smaller than said stator bore diameter, said bearing means supporting said rotor in said housing which comprises two separate housing members deep drawn from sheet metal wherein each of the housing members is provided with a respective bearing seating surface and wherein each housing member is further provided with a stator supporting shoulder against which the stator rests when the two housing members are axially pressed onto the stator, both housing members having, due to said deep drawing, substantially the same configuration, each to form a half housing with its respective stator supporting shoulder and with its respective bearing seating surface, said stator resting against both shoulders so that the bearing means are held in their respective seating surface, whereby said stator resting against said shoulders provides an automatic self-centering of the entire assembly.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
