Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 10
Claim 1
Independent Claim 59 words
A water soluble polyester resin suitable as an ingredient in water soluble enamel paints comprising the reaction product of a fatty acid, trimethylol propane, isophthalic acid, trimellitic anhydride, and from 1 to 15 weight percent of a rosin-ester resin (based on the amount of polyester resin), said rosin-ester resin comprising the reaction product of rosin, maleic acid, and pentaerythritol.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 59 words
A water soluble polyester resin suitable as an ingredient in water soluble enamel paints comprising the reaction product of a fatty acid, trimethylol propane, isophthalic acid, trimellitic anhydride, and from 1 to 15 weight percent of a rosin-ester resin (based on the amount of polyester resin), said rosin-ester resin comprising the reaction product of rosin, maleic acid, and pentaerythritol.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 13 words
The polyester resin of claim 1 wherein the fatty acid is linoleic acid.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 17 words
The polyester resin of claim 1 wherein the amount of said rosin-ester is about 5 weight percent.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 13 words
The polyester resin of claim 3 wherein the fatty acid is linoleic acid.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 79 words
A water soluble enamel point having good water resistance comprising the reaction product of ammonium hydroxide, water, a pH sensitive chelate of about 80 weight percent triethanolamine titanate in isopropanol, and a polyester resin comprising the reaction product of a fatty acid, trimethylol propane, isophthalic acid, trimellitic anhydride, and from 1 to 15 weight percent of a rosin-ester resin (based on the amount of polyester resin), said rosin-ester resin comprising the reaction product of rosin, maleic acid, and pentaerythritol.
Claim 7
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 13 words
The paint composition of claim 5 wherein the fatty acid is linoleic acid.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 24 words
The paint composition of claim 5 wherein the amount of rosin-ester resin is about 5 weight percent based upon the amount of polyester resin.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 13 words
The paint composition of claim 7 wherein the fatty acid is linoleic acid.
