Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim 108 words
In a polarographic cell particularly adapted for the measurement of the partial pressure of a gas in a fluid comprising a detection electrode and a reference electrode immersed in an electrolyte and an insulating membrane, permeable to the gas being measured, separating the electrodes and the electrolyte from said fluid, the improvement wherein the electrolyte is at least partly immobililized by absorption in a rigid, insulating, porous material selected from the group consisting of sintered glass and sintered ceramic material and at least the detection electrode is in the form of a coating on the surface of said rigid material, said coating being thinner than said rigid material.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 108 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 25 words
The polarographic cell of claim 1 wherein the insulating membrane is partially provided on the rigid material and at least partially on the detection electrode.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 47 words
The polarographic cell of claim 1 wherein the rigid insulating material is a cylindrical rod the side face of which supports the detection electrode and the reference electrode is in the form of a wire positioned along the longitudinal axis of said rod shaped rigid insulating material.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 20 words
A polarographic cell as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the rigid, insulating, porous material consists of sintered glass.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 21 words
A polarographic cell as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the rigid, insulating, porous material consists of sintered aluminum oxide.
