Abstract
Abstract The addition of cobalt, zinc, iron or manganese salts of hydroxycarboxylic or dicarboxylic acids containing 2 to 6 carbon atoms to halogenated polymer resin compositions greatly reduces the evolution of smoke when the compositions undergo combustion processes. These salts exhibit synergistic smoke suppressing action when used along with aluminum hydroxide.
