A process of preparing the compound of claim 1, comprising reacting a compound of the formula (2) ##STR7## wherein R is a straight or branched alkyl of 1-6 carbon atoms and X is chlorine or bromine, with an alkyl magnesium halide of the general formula (3) R -- Mg -- X (3) (3) wherein R is a lower alkyl of 1-3 carbon atoms and X is chlorine, bromine or iodine, in the presence of waterfree cobaltous - (II) - or nickelous - (II) - chloride.
