Abstract
Abstract Retractors for shoulder belts and retractors for lap belts which are transversly positioned, relative to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. One of said retractors is housed in a side member at the bottom of the vehicle, thereby facilitating occupants getting in and out of the vehicle. At the same time, this arrangement increases the degree of freedom in the anchorage location of the retractors in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle.
