Abstract
Abstract Compounds of the formula (I): ##STR1## and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof wherein X is an alkylene group of 2 - 4 carbon atoms; Y is CH 2 or 0; R 1 is a hydrogen atom or a C 1-6 alkyl group; R 2 is a hydrogen atom or a C 1-6 alkyl or benzyl group or is joined to R 1 so that NR 1 R 1 is a 5-, 6- or 7- membered saturated ring; R 3 is a naphthyl group or a naphthyl group substituted by a fluorine, chlorine or bromine atom or a methyl, methoxyl, trifluoromethyl, hydroxy or acetoxy group; R 4 is a hydrogen atom or a C 1-4 alkyl group; and R 5 is a hydrogen atom or a C 1-4 alkyl group; have been found to be mood modifying agents.
