Abstract
Abstract This disclosure describes compositions of matter useful for the treatment and prophylaxis of hemorrhagic colitis in swine. It also describes methods for controlling and preventing hemorrhagic colitis in swine by administering to the animals a therapeutically effective amount of a 6-substituted 3-nitroimidazo[1,2-b]-pyridazine.

A method according to claim 1 for treating hemorrhagic colitis in swine which comprises administering orally to the swine a 6-substituted-3-nitroimidazo[1,2-b]-pyridazine according to claim 1 in association with a pharmaceutical carrier to provide a daily dosage of the pyridazine of from about 3.0 mg to about 100 mg per kg of body weight of the swine.
