Claim 1
Independent Claim 50 words
A humidity sensor comprising: a ceramic substrate; a fired-on pattern of a hygroscopic material in the form of a pair of closely-spaced electrodes; said material comprising a major proportion of a conductive precious metal and a minor proportion of cobalt oxide; and means for connecting said electrodes into a circuit.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 50 words
A humidity sensor comprising: a ceramic substrate; a fired-on pattern of a hygroscopic material in the form of a pair of closely-spaced electrodes; said material comprising a major proportion of a conductive precious metal and a minor proportion of cobalt oxide; and means for connecting said electrodes into a circuit.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 12 words
The sensor as claimed in claim 1, wherein said substrate is alumina.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 13 words
The sensor as claimed in claim 1, wherein said pattern includes interdigitated fingers.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 29 words
The sensor as claimed in claim 1, wherein said precious metal is selected from the group consisting of gold alloys, platinum, palladium and mixtures and alloys of these metals.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 21 words
The sensor as claimed in claim 1, wherein said cobalt oxide comprises 2 to 20 wt. pct. of said fired-on pattern.
Claim 7
