Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 8
Claim 1
Independent Claim 46 words
An electrode for a primary or secondary battery comprising a porous metal support, a porous sintered layer of a powder of an intermetallic compound which can absorb and release reversibly hydrogen while forming hydrides, a hydrophylic water-insoluble macromolecular material in the pores of the sintered layer.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 46 words
An electrode for a primary or secondary battery comprising a porous metal support, a porous sintered layer of a powder of an intermetallic compound which can absorb and release reversibly hydrogen while forming hydrides, a hydrophylic water-insoluble macromolecular material in the pores of the sintered layer.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 27 words
An electrode as claimed in claim 1 wherein the intermetallic compound is a lanthanum-nickel compound having a plateau pressure not exceeding one atmosphere at the operating temperature.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 15 words
An electrode as claimed in claim 2 wherein the intermetallic compound is LaNi 4 Cu.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 16 words
An electrode as claimed in claim 2 wherein the hydrophylic macromolecular material has alcoholic hydroxyl groups.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 14 words
An electrode as claimed in claim 4 wherein the hydrophylic macromolecular material is polyvinylalcohol.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 17 words
An electrode as claimed in claim 4 wherein the hydrophylic macromolecular material is a saponifiable cellulose derivative.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 16 words
An electrode as claimed in claim 6 wherein the hydrophylic macromolecular material is cellulose acetate butyrate.
