Anionic and nonionic emulsified dye suspension with formalin, hydrotropic agent

Abstract

Abstract Described are aqueous, stable, highly concentrated, finely dispersed, flowable preparations of dyestuffs and optical brighteners insoluble to difficultly soluble in water, which preparations have a low content of dispersing agent and a particle size smaller than 10μ, particularly smaller than 2μ, characterized in that these preparations contain at least 10 per cent by weight of water, at least 30 per cent by weight of a finely dispersed dyestuff or optical brightener insoluble to difficultly soluble in water, and a mixture consisting of at most 10 per cent by weight of an anion-active dispersing agent, at most 5 per cent by weight of a nonionic dispersing agent and at most 35 per cent by weight of a hydrotropic agent, as well as, optionally, further additives which preparations are useful for the dyeing, printing and optical brightening of textile material in a conventional manner or for the production of printing pastes having an aqueous base or a water-in-oil emulsion base which printing postes are useful for the printing of carrier materials, particularly paper with application of dyestuffs or optical brighteners suitable for transfer printing and use of the printed carrier materials in the transfer printing process on textile materials.
