Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 7
Claim 1
Independent Claim 88 words
A composition for cleaning tile and grout and renewing grout consisting essentially of an aqueous solution of 0.1 to 10% by weight on a dry basis of a sequestering agent, 0.1 to 10% by weight on a dry basis of a surfactant compatible with the binding agent and 10 to 60% by weight on a dry basis of a water insoluble pigment and a water-soluble or water-dispersible organic binding agent which dries to a water resistant film, the ratio of pigment to binding agent being 5:1 to 1:5.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 88 words
A composition for cleaning tile and grout and renewing grout consisting essentially of an aqueous solution of 0.1 to 10% by weight on a dry basis of a sequestering agent, 0.1 to 10% by weight on a dry basis of a surfactant compatible with the binding agent and 10 to 60% by weight on a dry basis of a water insoluble pigment and a water-soluble or water-dispersible organic binding agent which dries to a water resistant film, the ratio of pigment to binding agent being 5:1 to 1:5.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 9 words
A composition of claim 1 also containing a bactericide.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 19 words
A composition of claim 1 also containing 0.5 to 10% by weight of a suspending agent for the pigment.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 28 words
A composition of claim 1 wherein the pigment is selected from the group consisting of titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, talc, silica, calcium carbonate, carbon black and ultramarine blue.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 21 words
A composition of claim 1 wherein the surfactant is selected from the group consisting of anionic, cationic, nonionic, and amphoteric surfactants.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 57 words
The method of cleaning tile and grout and renewing the surface of grout comprising applying a cleaning composition of claim 1 to tile and grout to remove dirt therefrom, allowing the cleaning composition to dry to form a water resistant film of the organic binding agent on the grout and removing excess cleaning composition from the tile.
