Abstract

Abstract A telephoto-type zoom lens system comprising a first lens group utilized for focusing, a second lens group which is a variator, a third lens group which is a compensator, and a fourth lens group which is a relay lens system, said first lens group being arranged so that variation of aberrations is small when it is moved for focusing, aberrations caused by said first lens group being corrected by the other lens groups, said telephoto-type zoom lens system thus having aberrations favorably corrected for the whole range of photographing distances.
