Abstract

Abstract A solvent composition which comprises 1,1,1-trichloroethane and an aliphatic alcohol containing at least two carbon atoms in amounts such that the composition boils in the range from the boiling point of the constant boiling mixture of 1,1,1-trichloroethane and the alcohol up to 10 DEG C above the boiling point. The solvent composition is used to clean printed circuit boards contaminated with soldering flux.
