Abstract

Abstract A switching regulator adapted to be coupled to a source of alternating current potential produces a direct current potential having an amplitude proportional to the duration of a first drive signal condition relative to the duration of a second drive signal condition. A modulator coupled to a synchronized oscillator produces a synchronized control signal having an amplitude proportional to the amplitude of the direct current potential. A drive signal generator coupled to the modulator and the switching regulator produces a first drive signal condition having a duration relative to the duration of the second drive signal condition which is proportional to the amplitude of the control signal, thereby providing for regulation of the direct current potential.
