Abstract

Abstract Gaseous streams containing carbonyl compounds are reduced in carbonyl compounds by reacting a vapor phase with catalyst of Periodic Table Groups 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 3b, 4b, 6b, 7b, 8 and mixtures. Reactor effluent from oxidative dehydrogenation reaction to produce butadiene-1,3 is reacted with calcium oxide catalyst to remove carbonyl compounds.
