Abstract

Abstract Reflective plates for liquid crystal display devices are provided. These plates comprise a composite of a transparent base material as a matrix and having incorporated therein a plurality of small transparent grains or granules. These granules have a different refraction ratio from the matrix material. The reflective composite plate member comprises said matrix and said grains and may have a reflective surface coated or attached to one face of said plate member.
