Abstract

Abstract A poisoned Raney nickel catalyst from the hydrogenolysis of an organic peroxide polymer is reactivated by treating the catalyst with a 0.1-5 N solution of an activating reagent selected from the group consisting of ammonia, and an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal hydroxide, carbonate or carboxylate having 1-4 carbon atoms at 20°-200°C under an inert gas atmosphere.
