Abstract
Abstract A polyurethane composition which is the reaction product of (a) 4,4'-methylenebis(phenyl isocyanate), (b) tolylene diisocyanate, (c) 1,4-butanediol and (d) polytetramethyleneether glycol having a number average molecular weight of about 600-2100; the mole ratio of (a) to (b) being about 1.2/1 to 2.5/1, the mole ratio of (c) to (d) being such that the average molecular weight of a mixture of (c) and (d) is about 450-850, and the mole ratio of (a) plus (b) to (c) plus (d) being about 1/1.015 to about 1/1.050. Such polyurethanes form exceptionally good adhesives.
