Abstract

Abstract A convergent-divergent nozzle for supersonic expansion of turbine motive fluid is presented wherein the major part of contouring of the flow paths between adjacent nozzles is in the direction between top and bottom walls between adjacent nozzle side walls, the contouring being accomplished by contoured top and bottom nozzle walls which are asymmetrically contoured in an axial direction to define a symmetric flow path therebetween.
