A photosensitive material comprising a conductive support at least one surface of which is coated with a photoconductive layer, the said photoconductive layer in turn being coated on the top surface thereof with a protective coating comprising from 0.1 to 50% by weight based on the total weight of the protective coating with an organic compound selected from the group consisting of aluminum alcoholates and aluminum chelate compounds dispersed in a resin.
