Abstract
Abstract Tri(fluoroaliphatic amines) wherein there is at least one fluorine atom on one carbon alpha to the tertiary nitrogen are reacted with SO 3 to produce tri(fluoroaliphatic) alpha fluosulfato amines which can be hydrolyzed under controlled conditions to produce oxo or hydroxyl derivatives by removal of the fluosulfato group (OSO 2 F), which derivatives can also be further hydrolyzed to useful products.
