Abstract This invention relates to new 1-(m-trifluoromethylphenyl)-4propyl-piperazine derivatives of the general formula IN WHICH A represents a radical -CH2OR1, R1 representing a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl radical, a lower alkenyl radical, a lower alkynyl radical, a phenyl (lower) alkyl radical, an acyl radical or an optionally substituted carbamoyl radical, a radical R2 representing a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl radical, a lower alkenyl radical, a lower alkynyl radical or a phenyl (lower) alkyl radical, or a radical R3 and R4 representing independently from one another a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl radical, a cycloalkyl radical or, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached, forming a 5-7 membered heterocyclic ring optionally carrying as second heteroatom an oxygen or nitrogen atom, which latter nitrogen atom may itself carry a lower alkyl radical or a mtrifluoromethylphenyl radical, and their salts with non-toxic acids and bases. Said derivatives have analgesic, anti-inflammatory and anoretic activity.
