Abstract

Abstract A method for making a composite wire which comprises providing a tubular sheath consisting essentially of copper. The sheath is filled with a powdered metallic material dissimilar to copper which is compacted within the sheath. The sheath is then substantially sealed, subjected to a gas evacuation process, heated, and reduced utilizing an extruding step.
