Abstract

Abstract An electronic storage tube having a target which is composed of an insulating layer having an electrode on each surface thereof. One of the electrodes is overlaid on one of the surfaces of the insulating layer in a pattern of stripes or cross-stripes and the exposed areas of the insulating layer are scanned by electron beams to establish a storage charge pattern. Different potentials are applied to the two electrodes to cause them to operate in a wide dynamic range.
