Abstract This disclosure describes compositions of matter useful as antiinflammatory agents and the method of meliorating inflammation in mammals therewith, the active ingredient of said compositions of matter being trans-2-(6-amino-9H-purin-9-yl)cyclopentanol or the pharmacologically acceptable acid-addition salts thereof.
