Abstract
Abstract Imides having a nitroimidazolylethyl group as a N-substituent are described herein. They are anti-bacterial and anti-protozoal agents. The compounds are prepared by the reaction of the appropriate imide with the chloroethylimidazole or with the tosylate or mesylate of the corresponding hydroxyethyl compound.
