Abstract
Abstract A chemical vapor deposition reactor produces deposits which are uniform in composition and thickness by minimizing convective currents in the immediate vicinity of the substrate. Heating of the substrate, positioning the substrate to face in a downward direction at the upper extremity of an essentially convectionfree zone, and a radiation shield are utilized.
