Abstract
Abstract Benzotriazole-2-carboxamides having anthelmintic activity are prepared by 2-acylating a 4,7-dihalobenzotriazole then removing the 4,7-dihalo groups by catalytic hydrogenation at low temperatures and pressures. Hydrogenation at higher temperatures and pressures give 4,5,6,7-tetrahydrobenzotriazole-2-carboxamides also having anthelmintic activity.
